Schlussfolgerung: Carnosolsäure hat neuroprotektive Effekte. Carnosolsäure erhöht die Konzentration von reduziertem Glutathion (GSH). Carnosolsäure ist im Gehirn bioverfügbar, und akkumuliert sich in Nervenzellen, dies wurde mit der HPLC Methode nachgewiesen. Carnosolsäure kann Reperfusionsschäden verminderen nach cerebraler Ischämie (Hirninfarkt).
